As part of the BioMEMS TECNIO group, we are seeking an excellent post-doctoral researcher to apply for a TECNIOspring fellowship with us. The successful candidate will work on the development of electrochemical enzyme biosensors, with a focus on the transfer of results to industry. The work stems from the DADDi2 project (TEC2013-48506-C3), aimed at the development of a new type of disposable autonomous device for the early diagnosis of Diabetes, but will be focusing on developing skin-patch biosensors for sports (lactate and glucose).
Candidates must have a strong background in Electrochemistry and at least some experience in the area of biosensors.
In addition, it is essential that the candidates:
* Hold a doctoral degree and four additional years of full-time research experience after obtaining it; or have at least eight years of full-time equivalent research experience, including the period of research training after obtaining the degree that would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate.
* Have at least one year of experience in applied research and/or technology transfer activities (R&D projects involving industry, patent licensing, and/or spin-off creation).
* Have experience in the management of research groups.
